What are the benefits of natural skin care products?

'Green' benefits and living life in a natural way, are what everyone seems to be talking about nowadays. So how does that affect the way you care for your skin, or in many cases, don’t care for your skin?

Survey statistics suggest that natural products, or products that use entirely natural ingredients, out-perform those that do not. Possibly you think you are getting the best results from what you are using, but accept the challenge and try something new and I promise you will be astounded. When considering skin care products there are four natural ingredients that have to be in the mix;

DMAE or Dimethylaminoethanol

It is helpful to the production of collagen, and is a natural compound found in salmon skin. The obvious signs are much tighter skin, less lines and wrinkles. It also often reduces the number of liver spots, or 'age spots' and it can sometimes be referred to.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

This is a natural acid that helps to prevent free radicals, which are considered responsible for the aging of the skin and breakdown in elasticity. When taken topically or orally it can dramatically reduce the signs of ageing in the skin.

Vitamin C

If there was one element that should not be omitted it would be vitamin C. I helps to prevent solar damage to the skin, and offers regeration properties to damaged skin.

Retinol

Retinol is a naturally occurence of vitamin A, and helps to rejuvenate old-looking skin. It is designed to be good for sesitive skin, as it does not cause inflammation or peeling.

If you use a combination of all four of the natural products, I am sure you will notice a big difference in the condition of your skin. Some of my favourite natural products include Gatineau and Equavie, which can be taken orally as skin supplements, or topically with lotions.
